The French pavilion participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai was keen to enrich visitors and unleash them to live a mixture of cultural experiences, with their historical and future dimensions, in a pavilion located in the mobility area, which includes precious treasures that boast of their historical depth and what they provided to humanity.

The pavilion offers its visitors the Notre Dame de Paris experience, which represents an interactive virtual immersion in the history of Notre Dame Cathedral, using scenography and augmented reality design. In the year 1804 AD.

France is proud of its cultural heritage, which highlights its historical position and its contributions to the cultural and urban movements, which the French pavilion at the “Expo” was keen to highlight, starting with the presentation of an original copy of the “Encyclopedia” volumes of historical standing in world civilization, which is an encyclopedia consisting of 35 volumes, It was written between 1751 and 1780 AD, and is best known for its representation of the Enlightenment in the 18th-century encyclopedia "Philosopher", edited by Denis Diderot and Jean Rond Palmbert.

The encyclopedia is also known as the "Classified Dictionary of Sciences, Arts, and Crafts".

Diderot, after collecting its philosophical and scientific content, schemes and research from all over the world, aimed to change the way people think, as the embodiment of the progressive thought of that era. Among the most prominent contributors to this encyclopedia are the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Voltaire.

Historic dimensions continue to impose a strong presence in the French pavilion, through the “Notre Dame de Paris” experience, which is based on the immersive virtual technology of “Histopad” panels provided by the French startup Histovery, to get acquainted with the historical stages of “Notre Dame Cathedral”, from Its medieval workshop, the installation of Napoleon in it, the construction of the Viollet-le-Duc tower, and even diving into the heart of the restoration work currently underway, following the damage to the building inscribed on the World Heritage List, as a result of a fire that broke out in the cathedral in April 2019.

The pavilion includes the book "The Little Prince" by Antoine Dussant, on an imaginary journey that showcases the multiple links between arts, sciences, technologies and cultures.

The Dubai Expo also represented an opportunity for French companies to promote their technological and future projects, as a model of the museum ship is presented, in addition to a balloon transporting vital goods, in a futuristic solution compatible with the environment.
