A British Conservative MP, David Amess, 69, was stabbed on Friday October 15 several times during a parliamentary office he held in a church in his constituency in Leigh-on-Sea, east London , according to local media.

Local police announced the arrest of a man and confirmed that a person had been stabbed, without specifying his identity.
According to the local press, the victim's name is David Arness, 69-year-old Tory MP.
Police said they were not looking for "
anyone else
" after the arrest.
