The corresponding decree on amending the sanitary and epidemiological rules has been published on the official portal of legal information.
"The term for performing a laboratory test for COVID-19 should not exceed 24 hours from the moment the biological material arrives at the laboratory until its result is received by the person in respect of whom the corresponding study has been carried out," the text of the document says.
Earlier it became known that since the beginning of the pandemic, about 11.7 million PCR tests for coronavirus have been done in the Moscow region.
Diagnostics are performed in 12 state regional laboratories.
About 30 thousand tests are performed per day.
In Russia, on October 15, 32,196 cases of coronavirus were detected during the day, which is the maximum figure for the country during the pandemic.
