She added that the third category is the bodies granting professional qualifications and certificates, which are the bodies that undertake the development of professional qualifications and issue certificates to students upon successful completion of the qualification requirements and courses, as well as ensuring the quality of implementation of qualifications provided through vocational education institutions. The fourth is the quality assurance of professional qualifications, They are the bodies that provide quality assurance services for the implementation and evaluation of professional qualifications provided by vocational education institutions, based on the quality assurance standards and controls of the awarding bodies of these qualifications.

On the impact of the decision on the policies of vocational education in Dubai, the authority explained that it seeks to develop vocational education in Dubai by approving the necessary policies to improve the quality of vocational education in the emirate, submitting them to the competent authorities for approval, and adopting the necessary strategic plans to implement these policies.

She explained that this will include identifying the target age groups in vocational qualifications and apprenticeship programs, and setting the necessary controls and standards to ensure the quality of these qualifications and their continuous development, including qualifications offered remotely, in addition to coordination with educational facilities inside and outside the emirate, regarding the acceptance of professional certificates. .

The authority indicated that the decision contributes to the inventory and analysis of vocational education data in the emirate, which will help in setting policies and plans that will stimulate these sectors, encourage investment in them and increase demand for them.

She added that the “apprenticeship” is a specialized professional program provided by the employer to the student in the workplace, with the intention of teaching him a trade or profession during a specified period, during which the student is obligated to work under the management and supervision of the employer, in return for receiving a wage or reward, the amount of which is determined before the student joins this the program.

The program may be in cooperation between the employer and one of the authorized vocational education institutions in Dubai.

She pointed out that the decision will reflect positively on students, as it will provide them with various options to enroll in vocational education in various relevant educational institutions, including smart and distance learning options, in addition to providing the opportunity to hold "apprenticeship" programs in the workplace.
