At the Palais des sports de Ouagadougou, Serge Aimé Coulibaly is making the final adjustments for the Fespaco opening show which will take place on Saturday, October 16.

For this 27th edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the choreographer, his 80 dancers, acrobats and actors, have decided to pay tribute to women, through the show “Yennenga Leguessi” or the hymn to resilience.

“

We pay homage to women,

to the Amazon, to those who struggle,”

explains Burkinabè choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly.

So, it is also a wink to see how to resist these repeated terrorist attacks, how we can sublimate, regain strength to be able to eliminate this scourge.

Far from the Sports Palace, Aboubacar Ouango makes sure that all the screening rooms have received the appropriate equipment.

For this adviser to the General Delegate, the success of this edition of Fespaco remains the main objective until the final clap: “

Currently, we have programmed the films.

Films held at the various screening sites.

We also received the screening copies of films, all categories combined, whether in DCP (Digital Cinema Package) or in digital file.

In terms of the screening rooms, we have no problems.

Setting up the Mica

At least 8,000 directors, producers, critics or journalists will officially take part in this edition of Fespaco. At the level of the public relations department, the team led by Lucie Tiendrebeogo has already worked on accreditation requests.

At the last moment, there are always people who arrive, who have made up their minds at the last moment. They too are taken care of. At our level, there is no major problem.

 "

The organizing committee had to work, day and night, to set up the equipment.

In the large courtyard of the festival's headquarters, several marquees have been installed to accommodate the Mica, the International Market for African Cinema and Television.

Issiaka Guiré and his men check that the projection booths are working as planned: “

We are currently nearly 2,600 square meters from the marquee at Mica, with exhibition stands.

We also have 300 square meter marquees which will house various activities such as conferences.

 "

The honor goes to Senegal, guest country, to inaugurate the screening session, with the film
