It was in July this year that the man was arrested after the plaintiff had reported abuse to a close relative.
In total, there are 22 charges - 79 cases of aggravated rape of children and 178 cases of rape of children.
The man is also charged with child pornography and sexual posing because he is suspected of having filmed one of the rapes.
- My client admits that there have been sexual contacts but not to the extent that the indictment describes, says the defendant's defense lawyer Thomas Nyman.
District Attorney Irene Falk says that the man and the girl knew each other before and that the abuse began sometime in April 2016.
Former foster father
The man was the father of a family home during a period in which the abuse is said to have occurred.
The man has also worked at an HVB home in another county and there an investigation from IVO, the inspectorate for health and care, has not shown any shortcomings.
- We were very shocked when we learned that this had happened.
There are no indications that he did anything inappropriate during the time he worked here, says a former colleague at the HVB home.
The trial against the man starts on Friday at Lycksele District Court and negotiations are expected to last for six days.
