David Amess

in a church in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, where he was meeting with citizens of his constituency,

was arrested

. Essex police reported that "a man has been arrested and we are not looking for anyone else".


There is still no news on Amess's condition.



The 69-year-old Tory majority MP, who supports the British government of Boris Johnson, was
