Two inmates die after eating disinfectant in Sri Lanka prison

Two Iranians died of poisoning after ingesting liquid disinfectant inside a maximum security prison in Sri Lanka on Thursday, an official said.

Ten other inmates were taken to hospital after ingesting the same liquid disinfectant in a prison in Colombo.

All Iranians were detained for drug-related offenses.
