The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the appointment of Poklonskaya as ambassador "has nothing to do with Ukraine."

“As the head of the Russian office for the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, Natalya Poklonskaya has absolute immunity from such declared actions by anyone,” Zakharova said.

She noted that diplomatic immunity operates "including on the way back and forth."

Zakharova stressed that "everyone should understand this."

Earlier, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Kiev should deal with the issue of compliance with laws on its territory, and not try to obtain the extradition of Natalia Poklonskaya from Cape Verde, where she will take the post of ambassador.
