Saved by the sheer force of arms.

A man residing in a building in rue Paul-Bert in Lyon, in which a fire broke out on Thursday noon, was heroically rescued by one of his neighbors.

On a video filmed by a passer-by, which France 3 relayed, we see a man suspended in the void.

Paralyzed, he clung to the balustrade of his balcony on the 5th and last floor after going through the window to escape the flames.

Posted at the left window, one of his neighbors leans over his balcony to grab his jacket sleeve and hoist it up to him.

With only the strength of his arms while a second neighbor tries to throw him a rope.
