Briton Cameron Norrie (26th player in the world) qualified for the semifinals of the Masters 1000 at Indian Wells on Thursday after his easy victory over Argentina's Diego Schwartzman (15th in the world) in straight sets, 6-0, 6- 2.

This is the second time in two months that the 26-year-old has beaten Schwartzman after the US Open in August.

Finalist in the San Diego tournament earlier this month, Norrie had been awarded in the previous round by the American Tommy Paul (60th), 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

Seeded N.21 in California, he will face in the last four the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (28th) and Pole Hubert Hurkacz (12th) also scheduled for Thursday.
