Feel the fresh air on your face, see the smile of friends, speak without being embarrassed ... From next Monday, schoolchildren in Seine-et-Marne will be able to remove the mask.

This department in the outer suburbs is one of the twelve new departments to fall below the symbolic bar of 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (48 cases currently) for at least five consecutive days.

If it is added to the 68 departments already affected by the measure, this is a first in Ile-de-France.

This department could nevertheless be quickly joined by Essonne, which currently has an incidence rate of 56 cases per 100,000 inhabitants or Hauts-de-Seine (60 cases).

This decision, however, only affects primary school students.

Middle school and high school students will have to continue to wear a mask during lessons.
