The Central African number one was expected on Tuesday, but he finally arrived on Wednesday, October 14, 24 hours late.

The plane chartered by Gabon experienced technical problems.

He therefore returned to Bangui temporarily.

A Central African media had mentioned an assassination attempt which Faustin-Archange Touadéra denied upon his arrival in the Gabonese capital where his word was rather expected on another subject.

Faustin-Archange Touadéra naturally expressed himself on the question: “

Obviously, there are these allegations of sexual abuse.

We do not yet have the precise elements to assess this.

And we wrote to the Special Representative, the Secretary General of the United Nations, because, if there are allegations, responsibilities must nevertheless be cleared, that there be reparations for the victims.

The Gabonese soldiers had been present in the Central African Republic for 25 years, they then joined the ranks of Minusca in April 2014 when the UN deployed this mission which consisted in putting an end to the bloody civil war.

Faustin-Archange Touadéra did not specify the possible return of the Gabonese soldiers to his country.
