"Xi Jinping announced that China will establish a Chinese international center for innovation and knowledge in the field of sustainable transport to contribute to the development of global transport," RIA Novosti was quoted as saying by the PRC Central Television.
It is noted that the Chinese leader said this during the opening ceremony of the Second UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport.
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Summit on ambitious targets in the field of climate change said that the Chinese authorities plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 by at least 65% compared to 2005.
