A child miraculously escaped death under the wheels of a bus in Brazil

A five-year-old boy escaped certain death when he fell from a car as a result of an accident, and was nearly run over by a bus that happened to pass at that moment.

The terrifying footage shows the child being thrown into the street when the car he was riding in collided with a bus in Itatiba, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

CCTV footage in the city center documented the dramatic incident two days ago, according to the British Daily Mail.

The video clip shows a bus traveling down the street when a gray car suddenly exits from the right and crashes into the side of it.

The car spins across the road, its hood is broken, and the bus continues down the street.

The accident caused the young boy to be thrown out of the car as he slid all the way dangerously close to the wheels of the bus for a few seconds, narrowly avoiding falling under the bus.

As the bus passes, the child rolls over and sits, before footage from a different angle shows him running toward a visibly terrified woman getting out of the car.

The child sustained only minor injuries, as the woman carried him to the side of the road, checking for injuries while another young woman and her child got out of the car.

The child was taken to a local hospital, where he was kept under observation.

It was not clear if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Police said none of the bus passengers was hurt and it appeared that the other people in the car also escaped unharmed.

The hood of the car caught fire as its passengers went out to check on the little boy after the accident

The bus driver stated that the accident occurred after the driver of the car passed a red light.

The car was seized after it was found that its license had expired.
