This comes at a time when the number of students who want to transfer their course from public education in Egypt to Al-Azhar education has increased significantly. There are many interpretations between it being an escape from the consequences of public education and its difficulties and problems, especially in light of the policy of the current Minister of Education, or the preference of Al-Azhar education in terms of aspects. Many, including the stability of its system and its low cost to parents.

According to statements by Al-Azhar officials, requests to transfer from public education to Al-Azhari until the door closed at the end of last August amounted to 20,000 requests, compared to 5,000 requests for transfer in the opposite direction.
