According to the municipal council, the background to the municipality's finances being strained is that the influx into the municipality has been large in recent years and this has meant that the municipality has suffered from growing pains.

- We have increased in population for a few years.

This has meant, for example, that we have had to build two new primary schools in a fairly short time.

We have also had to build our waterworks, because we are growing so fast.

The ruling parties, the Moderates, the Center Party and the Christian Democrats, believe that the committees need an extra SEK 67 million for the coming budget year.
