Chinanews, October 13th. According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has decided to simplify matters concerning foreign students staying in Russia and has formulated a special legal system for them. The specific system is: temporary education for the purpose of receiving education. The residence permit will not be cancelled when leaving Russia during the study period (e.g. vacation).
The corresponding documents have been published on the portal of draft federal laws and regulations.
The explanation stated: “Foreign citizens who arrive in the Russian Federation for the purpose of receiving education at a national educational institution or a national scientific institution may obtain a temporary residence permit for the purpose of receiving education."
According to the instructions, foreign citizens who have obtained temporary residence permits will become temporary residents and need to register at the place of residence and stay.
Russia will issue temporary residence permits to foreign citizens holding temporary residence permits for the purpose of receiving education.
