He clarified that the country will resort to this means only if "hostile forces" try to use nuclear weapons.

According to him, North Korea is complying with its obligations under the nuclear non-proliferation regime.

Earlier, the Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan held talks on the denuclearization of the peninsula with the director of the National Security Administration under the President of South Korea, Seo Hoon.
