Private schools in Sharjah stipulated the submission of a sick certificate and medical reports related to the student's medical condition in order to exempt him from attendance education.

A circular sent by private schools to the students' families, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, stated that three categories of students will be excluded from attendance education, they are students with confirmed medical cases according to medical reports approved by government agencies, and students who have individuals at risk of infection. In the home of the elderly, patients with immune diseases, and students who are not inside the emirate for reasons related to the conditions for entering the country.

The schools indicated that the dates for the gradual return of students of attendance education have been set, so that students from the first kindergarten to the second foundational grade will start attending classes next Sunday, while students from the third, fourth and fifth grades will start attending next Tuesday, provided that the attendance of students starts from the classroom Sixth to twelfth grade on Monday, October 25.

She stated that the students' families will be received in the accounts department to pay the fees for school uniforms, books and transportation from next Sunday, provided that transportation fees are completed before the students start their attendance.

For its part, the Sharjah Special Education Authority has set 10 requirements regarding the comprehensive return to the attendance education system, which are: that schools must reach 50% of the attendance education before October 31, and to ensure that a safe distance is left between students that ensures lack of physical cohesion, and it is mandatory to wear a mask for those who are in attendance. They are over seven years old, and the number of students in the class does not exceed the permissible density before the pandemic, while maintaining a safe distance, and raising the percentage of students on buses to 100%, with the need to involve schools for parents in the electronic platform “Your Children are Safe”, launched by the authority.

She explained that the school staff must be vaccinated for the groups that are not excluded by 100%, and the students' families should be encouraged to raise the vaccination rate among students for the age group 12 years and above, and to adhere to the amended guideline that will be issued this week, and the need for students who have health excuses to present a medical report Approved by a health authority.
