Algeria recorded its largest presence in the history of its participation in “Expo” exhibitions globally, through its pavilion at “Expo 2020 Dubai”, as the pavilion was designed in the style of the ancient city of the Kasbah in Algiers, in a wonderful atmosphere surrounding visitors during their tour of the pavilion.

Algeria is participating in an independent pavilion for the first time in the history of its participation in the "Expo", through a building that highlights its civilizational depth and future ambition, and serves as a gateway to culture, history and development in Algeria.

The design of the Algerian pavilion was based on the concept of “the journey”, where the visitor can discover Algeria in all its aspects, with its various cultures as the largest country in the continent of Africa, and the countries of the Mediterranean basin, from the land where the first human inhabitants appeared from the “Ain Boucherit” region in the state of Setif. About 2.4 million years ago, with its heritage, cultural and economic dimensions, Algeria participates in the image of a country proud of its origins, history and determination to achieve modernity, peace and development, leading to the "Gate of the Future", which represents many ongoing projects, which represents a huge step in the development of the state's infrastructure.

The pavilion’s structure and scenographic narrative constitute a gateway to the future, as it stems from a presentation of the country’s heritage, culture, traditions and nature, to highlight its aspirations, innovations, position on the international scene and its leading role in Africa. , and aspires to move to other prosperous stages.

The Algerian pavilion sheds light on the most prominent current projects that the state is working on, especially at the level of renewable energy connections, as it has huge potential in terms of solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy. Solar and a gas turbine plant. Since then, the state has established 33 renewable energy plants, while Algeria's plan is based on reaching an average of 63 million tons of oil equivalent for all sectors, namely: efficient lighting, thermal insulation, solar water heaters, clean fuels from liquefied petroleum gas, and effective industrial equipment in 2030. .

For his part, the commissioner of the Algerian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Mokhtar Attar, confirmed to "Emirates Today" that "the UAE's organization of this global event is a pride for all Arab countries," adding: "It is a very excellent step for the Emirates, and also at the global level." And it can be an international reference for the global economy and international relations.”

Al-Attar pointed to the importance of Algeria's participation in the "Expo 2020", explaining that it is a "good opportunity to attract investments," stressing that the exhibition is a very big forum, and that it is a great pride for the Arab countries, and will provide very great opportunities for Algeria.

He concluded by saying, "We seize this opportunity so that the wealth in Algeria is known, and partnerships are made for the development of the country on all sides."
