Representative Hassouna Al-Nasfi, head of the National Reform Bloc in the Tunisian House of Representatives, revealed his intention with a group of deputies to file a judicial complaint against President Kais Saied after they were denied their salaries and not able to return to their original jobs.

Al-Nassifi added, in a statement to the “Huna Tunisia” program on “Diwan FM” that this issue comes due to the suspension of the parliamentary grant without dissolving Parliament, saying, “To this day, there is no evidence that I am not an MP, and at the present time I cannot return to my original work as I am still Member of Parliament.

For his part, Hisham Al-Ajbouni, a deputy from the Democratic Current Party, called for the dissolution of parliament and the issuance of an order to return the employees of the parliament to their previous jobs, saying that about 100 deputies as well as parliamentary assistants were subjected to injustice due to President Saeed's decisions.

Since last July 25, Tunisia has been experiencing a severe political crisis, as President Saied began a series of exceptional decisions, including freezing the competencies of Parliament, lifting the immunity of its deputies, abolishing the constitutionality monitoring body, issuing legislation by presidential decrees, chairing the Public Prosecution, and dismissing the Prime Minister.

The majority of political forces rejected these decisions, and considered them a coup against the constitution, while other forces supported them and saw them as a correction of the course of the 2011 revolution, in light of the political, economic and health crises (the Corona pandemic).

And on Monday, the formation of the new Tunisian government was announced, which included 24 ministerial portfolios, headed by Najla Bouden, who was appointed by Said to the position on September 29 last.
