A T-shirt featuring the face of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has appeared in North Korea.

In the video of the National Defense Development Exhibition that was broadcast by Chosun Central TV yesterday (12th), it was caught that Kim Jong-un's face was drawn on the t-shirt of the conductor who conducted the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the event.

It is unusual for the face of General Secretary Kim, who is absolutely sacred in North Korea, to be painted on clothing.

In foreign countries, the face of the leader is often painted on clothing, but in North Korea, it can be a so-called 'blasphemy' that undermines the authority of the supreme leader, so it seems like an unprecedented measure to have Secretary Kim's face on a T-shirt.

North Korea's use of General Secretary Kim's face on a T-shirt is analyzed in the context of creating a friendly image of the supreme leader while imitating the Western style.

However, since clothes are unavoidable items to be washed, and water and detergent are bound to get on the face of the supreme leader during the washing process, it is questionable whether such t-shirts will spread widely in North Korea.
