Russian President: He has a cold, not the Corona virus

During his meeting with members of the National Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had a cold, not the emerging corona virus.

The Russian president was seen coughing several times during the meeting, which was held via video conference technology, today, Monday, and broadcast on state television.

President Putin told members of the National Security Council: "Don't worry, everything is fine."

President Putin responded to Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Russian Federation Council, after she interrupted him during the meeting to ask him about his health, by saying: "Valentina Matvienko, do not worry, everything is fine."

And he continued, “I am subjected to tests almost daily, not only because of the Corona virus, but also for all other infections, the story is that I went out for a walk and the weather was cold, nothing terrible is happening.”

He added, "I know that all of you have been vaccinated...and don't forget to receive the booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine."

The Russian president, who celebrated his 69th birthday last week, went into self-isolation last month, when he announced that dozens of his staff had contracted the Corona virus.
