“In St. Petersburg, I met with the General Director of Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova, we discussed the issue of signing a long-term contract, this week we will start negotiations with Gazprom to draw up a work plan,” RIA Novosti quoted Spynu as saying.

The minister called gas prices “unrealistic” and asked to extend the contract “on the terms of 2019”.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova spoke about the expectations from the extension of the contract with Gazprom.

On September 30, the contract for the supply of Russian gas to Moldova was extended until the end of October.

The agreement is being extended on the same terms on which Moldova received gas in September.
