Mohammed bin Rashid mourns Ahmed Kazim, the first Emirati doctor

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, mourned yesterday Dr. Ahmed Kazim, the first Emirati doctor in the country, who was previously honored in the list of the first.

His Highness said: "Five decades of his life he spent in serving people, treating them and curing their pain. He has all the praise and appreciation from us."

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in a tweet on Twitter yesterday, said, "Our condolences to the family of Dr. Ahmed Kazim... the first Emirati doctor in the country... Five decades of his life he spent in serving people, treating them and curing their pain... He has all of us. Praise and appreciation.. and we ask God to reward him with good and make him dwell in heaven.. Amen.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Ahmed Kazem was one of the pioneering surgeons in the country, and he established the Orthopedic Department at Rashid Hospital, and after a short time he was promoted to a consultant orthopedic surgeon, then head of the surgical departments.

After the opening of Dubai Hospital in the mid-eighties of the last century, the Department of Orthopedics moved there, and Kazem was the head of the department until he retired in 2004. Kazem was awarded the Emirates First Medal, and was honored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
