The Ministry of Education revealed five main academic disciplines within the scholarship program for Emirati students who are eligible to study outside the country, which are social and administrative sciences, arts and humanities, engineering and technology, medicine and life sciences, and natural sciences, which include 48 sub-specialties.

The Ministry has set on its website, on the seventh of next November, the date for the opening of registration for students wishing to be sent to study abroad, indicating that five categories of students are eligible to apply for the scholarship program to study outside the country, namely: high school graduates for the current academic year for bachelor studies, and graduates of the current academic year. High school students from previous years for bachelor’s study, bachelor’s holders for master’s study, master’s holders for doctoral studies, and currently enrolled students (bachelor, master and doctorate) who wish to transfer to the ministry’s mission.

The ministry has detailed the sub-disciplines that fall under each major specialization, as the "Arts and Human Sciences" specialization includes archeology, architecture, art and design, ancient and classical history, English language and literature, history, linguistics, modern languages, performing arts, and philosophy. and Religious Studies. The engineering and technology majors include chemical engineering, civil and structural engineering, computer science and information systems, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, aviation and manufacturing, and metallurgical and mining engineering.

While the “medicine and life sciences” specialization includes agriculture and forestry, anatomy and physiology, biological sciences, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and pharmacology, psychiatry, and veterinary, while the “natural sciences” specialization includes physics, astronomy, and mathematics. and environmental sciences, earth and marine sciences, chemistry, materials science, and geography.

The "Social and Administrative Sciences" specialization includes accounting and finance, anthropology, business administration and management studies, sociology, communication, politics and international studies, hospitality and leisure management, library and information management, sports-related topics, development studies, economics, and econometrics. Law, Social Policy, Statistics and Operational Research, Education and Training.

The student applying for an external scholarship is required to be a citizen of the UAE, not to have obtained a full scholarship or scholarship from one of the institutions or scholarship agencies inside or outside the country, and to be of good conduct and behavior, according to a certificate from the concerned authorities accredited in the country. .

It is also required for the applicant to apply for a foreign scholarship to have a direct academic acceptance and is unconditional with other requirements in a specialty, institution and country specified for scholarship by the Ministry, indicating the start and end dates of the study and the total cost of the study.

The ministry stated several conditions for choosing the higher education institution to which the student deserves the scholarship, including being among the top 200 universities in the specialization to be studied, and being among the top 200 universities in the general classification according to the lists approved by the ministry, or being among the top 50 universities in the specialization. To be studied according to the lists approved by the Ministry, and to be in one of the countries specified for scholarship.

The previous qualification is required to be ratified by the Ministry, and the student must abide by the required period of regularity in a manner that does not conflict with the certificate equivalency system, and be medically fit according to a certificate from the concerned authorities accredited in the country, and provide an exemption (postponement) or termination certificate from the national service for male students .
