A woman who saw a wild bear in Yellowstone National Park in the US and took a picture of it after getting close has been punished.

A woman filming a bear with her cell phone, as if trying to protect her cub, runs away when the mother bear runs in a menacing pose.

This video was taken last May in Yellowstone National Park, USA.

In Yellowstone National Park, you are not allowed to approach bears within 100 yards or 91 meters, feed them, or take pictures.

As the video spread on social media, the woman was eventually handed over to trial.

On the 6th, the Yellowstone Judicial Center under the Wyoming District Court sentenced the woman to four days in detention for knowingly approaching the bear.

He also ordered a one-year ban on national parks and $1,000 each in fines and wildlife conservation funds.

"Approaching a mother bear with her cubs is completely foolish," the acting federal prosecutor said.
