From Monday, October 11, free points for express testing for antigen to coronavirus infection have been launched in public places and the MFC in Moscow.

This was announced by the Deputy Mayor for Social Development, the head of the capital's operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with COVID-19 Anastasia Rakova.

“In a pandemic, it is very important to timely detect the disease in order to start treatment on time and reduce the possibility of a severe course.

Such mass screening will help speed up the process.

It will also allow detecting cases of asymptomatic coronavirus, ”said Rakova.

She also noted that a positive result of an express test is not a confirmation of the disease: “At the same time, a person will be taken a smear for a PCR study for free on the spot, without queuing and making an appointment.

Within a day, a person will already receive a result, and only in the case of a positive PCR, the diagnosis will be considered confirmed, a doctor will be sent to the house, and timely treatment will be started. "

According to her, more than 300 express tests were conducted earlier as part of the pilot regime.

According to the Department of Health, in 85% of cases, the result of the rapid test coincides with the PCR, and the proportion of false positives was 2%.

Now express testing is carried out in 20 points throughout the city - in 10 centers of public services "My Documents" and 10 popular public places, including GUM and the food mall "DEPO".

“The opportunity to take a rapid test is an example of a gentle but effective way to interrupt the chain of spread of the virus ... With early detection of COVID-19, you can postpone or even avoid the introduction of severe restrictions, that is, do not deprive the townspeople of their usual way of life, as well as not apply harm to the city's economy ", - added in the capital's headquarters.

They also noted that in Moscow at the moment there is "an increase in the incidence" of coronavirus infection.

So, over the past two weeks, the number of hospitalizations has doubled, and the number of new cases of COVID-19 has increased by one and a half times.

"In such a situation, the main task is to identify as quickly as possible those who can potentially become a source of the disease," the message says.

At the same time, the Kremlin noted that it is impossible to introduce fines for refusing to vaccinate.

Earlier, this idea was put forward by Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Lukashev.

“No, it seems to me that such measures are unrealistic in our country.

They contradict the social character of our state, and the social character of our state is written down in our constitution, and the biggest adherent of this social character is President Putin, "said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

"Sputnik V"

The day before, negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic took place in Belgrade. During a press conference following the meeting, the Russian minister spoke about the situation with the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates between the Russian Federation and European countries.

“We have been negotiating with the European Union for a long time on the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates. There are various reasons why an agreement has not yet been reached. There are objective reasons for the reconciliation of the respective procedures. We are observing a bias against Russian vaccines for political reasons. Our European colleagues do not hesitate to talk about this publicly. But in most EU countries we see an interest in ensuring that we provide the most comfortable conditions for people-to-people contacts. I hope common sense will prevail, ”Lavrov said.

On September 30, an employee of the EU Delegation confirmed receipt of the documents requested by the European side regarding the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates.

In addition, the details of the visit of representatives of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the certification of the Sputnik V vaccine are being coordinated.

The Kremlin called the talks between Moscow and Brussels on this issue important and expressed hope for its speedy resolution.

In addition, Sergey Lavrov noted that the project for the joint production of a Russian vaccine against coronavirus in Serbia will make a significant contribution to ensuring the interests of the population of this republic.

“We continue to cooperate in the fight against coronavirus infection.

In addition to the supply of vaccines, assistance by sending our specialists, the presidents in July this year opened a project for the joint production of the Sputnik V vaccine in Serbia.

I am sure this will become a significant contribution to ensuring the interests of the population of our friendly country, ”the minister emphasized.

In turn, Vucic expressed gratitude to Moscow for its help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During the covid crisis, we received the first and second components of Sputnik V, which was an excellent indicator.

Let us not forget the Russian doctors with the equipment who helped us at the beginning of this crisis.

Our citizens became much more confident then.

We remember who helps us in difficult times, and we never forget about this help and support, ”said the President of Serbia.

On December 31, 2020, the Serbian Medicines Agency issued a permit for the use of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

In early April, the Serbian Institute of Virology "Torlak" signed an agreement with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Generium on the transfer of production technologies for the drug.
