China News Service, October 11, reported that on October 10, local time, Czech President Zeman was suddenly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The attending doctor said that his diagnosis could not be disclosed for the time being.

According to reports, on the morning of the 10th local time, Zeman met with the current Prime Minister Babis at his residence in the suburbs of Prague, but was then suddenly admitted to the Prague Central Military Hospital.

Czech media reported that he needed medical staff to help support his head when he entered the hospital.

Zeman’s attending physician, Zavolal, said that Zeman was admitted to the ICU for treatment due to complications of the old disease, but no more details could be released at this time.

He was admitted to the hospital for 8 days in September, and the cause given by the Presidential Palace was dehydration and fatigue.

The election for the House of Representatives of the Czech Parliament ended on the 9th. The "Together" coalition formed by the three opposition parties won 27.79% of the votes, while the "Dissatisfied Citizens Action" (ANO) led by Babis got 27.13% of the votes.

Babis said that in terms of a single government's support rate, the winner is still ANO.

Zeman also stated earlier that he would authorize the single political party with the most votes instead of the coalition to form a cabinet.

However, the "Together" coalition and another opposition party coalition won more than half of the seats in the parliament. The two sides intend to form a majority coalition government and emphasize that they will not cooperate with ANO.

Zeman should have presided over the negotiations for the formation of a new government, but his health has added new variables to the complex situation.
