“National Rehabilitation” launches an introductory campaign for its mental health services

Today, the National Rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi launched an awareness campaign on its social media platforms to introduce its activities and therapeutic and counseling services in the field of mental health.

The campaign coincides with the World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated by the United Nations on the tenth of October each year.

The World Health Organization is organizing its campaign for this day under the slogan "Mental Health Care for All... Let's Make This Slogan Real", during which it reviews the efforts made by some countries in the world and encourages them to shed more light on positive stories, to become a source of inspiration for others.

The organization takes into account the devastating impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the mental health of people, especially health care workers and on the front lines, students and people.

Through its campaign, which includes video interviews with the directors of the medical, psychological and social treatment units and sectors in the center, the National Rehabilitation Center will provide its followers on social media with a comprehensive overview of its medical and psychological services and social support that will enhance the recovery capacity of addictive patients on the one hand, as well as Protecting the mental health of community members, educating them and protecting them from the dangers of addiction.

Dr. Hamad Al Ghafri, Director General of the National Rehabilitation Center said that sound mental health is the basis of a person's ability to continue and give in his life, as it constitutes the driving force that enables us all to continue performing our duties and hobbies, as well as gives us the will to challenge any difficulties we may face in our lives, stressing the center's keenness. The National Rehabilitation Center aims to develop its capabilities and services that support more positive mental health in the community and to keep it as far as possible from the dangers of addiction.

Al Ghafri added: In the UAE, which is at the fore in global competitiveness reports on the economic and societal levels, the wise leadership has been able to provide a decent life for all citizens and residents in our country. Our society, as well as the application of the latest findings of specialized scientific research in our center or worldwide to support the ability of addicted patients to overcome this stage of their lives and start again towards the positive side that supports the march of society.
