In a serious traffic accident with a bus and a truck, more than 20 people were injured on Friday afternoon in the Bergen district of Frankfurt, including 19 of the 34 children carried on the bus.
The bus driver was seriously injured, he was trapped and had to be freed by the fire brigade.

As the police announced, the accident occurred on the B521, on the bypass of the Bergen district.
According to current knowledge, the bus crashed into a truck for an as yet unexplained cause.
This then pushed onto two cars that were in front of him.
The 19 injured children received medical care at the scene of the accident.
The police have not yet been able to provide any information on the severity of the injuries.
The site of the accident was cordoned off over a large area.
The traffic is diverted.
