“The president signed a decree pardoning 31 convicted defenders,” Zelensky’s office said in a statement.
It is noted that such a separate performance was made for the first time in the modern history of Ukraine.
During the determination of persons for pardon, their merits to the state were taken into account.
Earlier, Zelensky signed a law on countering anti-Semitism in the country.
