"With Delta we need higher vaccine coverage"

"The delta variant has been dominant in Italy since July. This variant is dominant throughout the European Union and is associated with greater transmissibility. Higher vaccination coverage and completion of vaccination cycles are the main tools to prevent further recrudescences of episodes of increased circulation of the virus supported by emerging variants "notes the draft of the weekly report.

"It is advisable to carry out a capillary tracing and containment of cases, to maintain high attention and to apply and respect measures and behaviors to limit the further increase in viral circulation".
