After a routine sampling, Dorotea municipality has seen that the levels of coliform bacteria, bacteria that can cause stomach illness, are above the limit values at Svanavattnet.
Residents are therefore asked to boil the water for a week now.

The municipality is investigating what the problem is due to and will take new samples on Monday.

There are low levels of the bacteria and the environmental manager believes that it is a safety measure.
- High levels increase the risk of stomach illness, but the limit values are strictly set.
