Good evening, it's

strange.

There is a house on the Großer Feldberg - surrounded by the Taunus forests - and then wood for cladding the outer facade is delivered from Canada.

The truth is probably the insight: Canadian wooden hut charm is not created by Taunus spruce. The restaurant on the summit plateau of the Großer Feldberg has been closed since 2019. In February, the Feldberghaus, as it will be called in the future, will celebrate its reopening. The restaurateur Hedmar Schlosser takes over the lease together with Carolin Fischer. Schlosser, who already runs several restaurants in the Limburg-Weilburg district, will take over the management in the background, Carolin Fischer and her husband Jens want to greet the excursion guests. There should be a beer garden - and down-to-earth cuisine.

Oh yes, and getting married is still possible on the Feldberg.

The registry office is moving to the first floor of the building.

Why does this message make it into the newsletter?

For purely personal reasons.

Because the joy of the new / old excursion destination on the Feldberg is great and the prospect of a cold drink in the beer garden with a spectacular view is simply too tempting.

Of course, it has not yet been decided

whether the landlords

will choose the 2-G or 3-G model

in February

. Nobody knows yet whether these models will even exist in 2022 or whether other rules will not apply again for a long time. The current rule is: Those who have not yet been vaccinated will have to pay twice for going to the cinema or restaurant in the future. Because

from Monday onwards, the costs for the corona tests,

which were previously available to citizens free of charge

, will only be covered in exceptional cases.

Our editor Monika Ganster has put together what these are. She cites as examples above all those for whom there is no vaccination recommendation: Children under the age of twelve and expectant mothers in the first trimester of pregnancy. There are also exceptions for people who take part in studies on the effectiveness of corona vaccines or students from abroad who have been immunized with a vaccine that is not approved in Germany. All of this has to be proven. There will also be free tests for people who had to go into quarantine because of contact with an infected person. For

children between 12 and 17 years of age, the state provides a temporary solution by the end of the year

, you can continue to be tested for free.

You can read about what the test center operators are preparing for and why there might still be loopholes for unvaccinated people to get a test free of charge at www.faz.net or in the printed FAZ.

Printed FAZ?

Only recently was the pubescent cousin approached it in the family environment.

“Do they still exist?” Of course they still exist.

The question shows: the world is changing, habits as well.

Just as the newspaper industry has to keep asking itself which product suits the reader's environment, banks also have to deal with this issue.

Because many of the customers between the ages of 16 and 26 simply leave their money in the overnight money account.

They find it difficult to achieve issues such as old-age provision.

Commerzbank has commissioned the polling institute YouGov to find out how young people think about banks and how they feel about financing.

The bank is hoping for answers as it wants to realign itself strategically.

Business editor Daniel Schleidt summarized the results of the study.

There were some surprising results.

For example, that 70 percent of those questioned wanted “ATMs nearby”, but

only 43 percent said that sustainable commitment was important to them when choosing a bank

.

Sustainable products were even named as "important" by only 36 percent of those surveyed.
