The Swedish Public Health Agency has decided to pause the use of Moderna's vaccine for anyone born in 1991 and later for precautionary reasons.

The cause is signals of an increased risk of side effects such as inflammation of the heart muscle or heart sac.

However, the risk of being affected is very small, the authority states.

- People who were born in 1991 and later and who have received a dose of one of Modern they will not receive a second dose.

We are looking at solutions for this group, says Tina Mansson Söderlund, vaccine coordinator in the Gävleborg Region.
