It is noted that "according to the information of the French competent authorities, one of them was taken into custody, the second was released on recognizance not to leave."

“However, in relation to both, investigative actions are continuing,” the diplomatic mission said.

They said that the rest of the information was not disclosed by the authorities in the interests of the investigation.

“We will continue to take the necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of Russian citizens,” the embassy added.

Earlier it was reported that in the port of Dunkirk, France, on October 1, a ship was detained, on board which, according to the French authorities, cocaine was found.

Among the arrested crew members are two Russian citizens.
