It was Wednesday 15 September, police and an ambulance were alerted to an apartment in Gottsunda.

In the home was a shot man in his 30s who died of his injuries.

Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested early in the investigation but were later released.

- They are written off now, says prosecutor Anne Sjöblom.

A man in his 20s has now been requested to be detained on suspicion of murder.

He is also suspected of having seriously abused a person on a bus the week after the fatal shooting.

The man has previously been sentenced to probation for robbery, harassment and minor drug offenses.

The robbery occurred at a car company in Uppsala last year where he and two accomplices under threat are said to have forced three cars into themselves.

The now murder suspect man is said to have been masked during the robbery, but was convicted of his denial.

In addition to the man who has now been remanded in custody, another man has been arrested in the investigation.
