The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, called on the former chairman of the Supreme Council of Lithuania, Vytautas Landsbergis, to stop “fantasizing” about the future of the Russian Federation and to think about his own country.

Earlier, the Lithuanian politician predicted the disintegration of Russia, as a result of which the Crimean peninsula would return to Ukraine.

“Another statement from the series“ the fool is getting richer with a thought ”.

Pathological Russophobia prevents the former Lithuanian politician from looking at the world soberly.

If he could do this, he would have noticed that it is Ukraine that is falling apart.

This process began in 2014 and will continue as long as the current Ukrainian authorities are doing everything to exacerbate the internal split and sow hatred, "Aksyonov wrote in his Telegram channel.

Commenting on the words of Landsbergis about the so-called "European" path, the head of Crimea noted that this path led the former post-Soviet republics, including Ukraine, to the loss of all the achievements of the Soviet period, all economic and industrial potential, the outflow and reduction of the population, as well as the rehabilitation of the Nazi criminals.

“Here it is - the logical outcome of the“ European way ”.

Therefore, instead of guessing about the future of Russia, it is better for a Lithuanian dreamer to think about the state of his country, ”the head of Crimea said.

In turn, Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, noted that Landsbergis was right that Ukraine would not return Crimea to its membership, taking it from Russia.

At the same time, he pointed out that in the West and in the Baltics, they very often dreamily talk about the collapse of the Russian Federation.

“We understand that they will not wait for the collapse of Russia.

Russia will only grow stronger.

The overwhelming majority of countries, except for the EU, are interested in a strong Russia.

Why do they want a strong Russia?

Because Russia is behaving decently.

She protects countries that are in a difficult situation, most often because of the policies of the EU and the Americans.

Russia is a defender.

Therefore, Russia will not collapse, and the overwhelming majority do not want collapse.

And those who talk about this simply cannot come up with anything else, "the interlocutor of RT emphasized.

On October 5, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania in 1990-1992, in an interview with the Ukrainian newspaper The Day, said that all empires have their end, so the “collapse of Russia” is only a matter of time.

Only after this event will Ukraine, according to him, be able to regain Crimea.

“I think, not quite as the Ukrainian authorities proclaim, declaring that we will get Crimea back and maybe even soon.

But this "soon" or "not soon" will come only with the disintegration of Russia, not earlier.

It will not happen that Russia, in the presence of all its nuclear bombs, will give up Crimea, ”he said.

According to State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek, the ex-head of the Supreme Council of Lithuania has also joined "a cohort of Russophobes who prophesy different punishments and themselves do not believe that this will come true."

"Well, for Ukraine, these words are just like holy dew, probably, they have already begun to make a report about when Russia will collapse," the parliamentarian said in an interview with RT.

His colleague, State Duma deputy from Sevastopol, Dmitry Belik, believes that the Lithuanian politician gives Ukraine false hopes.

“And the Crimeans themselves returned to the Russian Federation, home, and we do not need and do not want anyone's return and release.

So, of course, they can dream about how they will take the peninsula, but all this is from the category of a saying - "they would eat with their eyes, but their hands will not reach it."

Yulit, the ex-head of the Supreme Council of Lithuania, perhaps wanted to say something good, but it turned out to be another lie, "RIA Novosti quotes him.

Crimea became part of Russia as a result of a referendum held in March 2014 - most of the inhabitants of the peninsula spoke in favor of reunification with Russia.

Subsequently, Russian officials have repeatedly noted that the issue of Crimea's ownership is closed.

So, in August, the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu, commenting on the words of Volodymyr Zelensky that Crimea “will never be Russian”, and its return to Ukraine is “a matter of time,” recalled the Odessa anecdote.

“You know, there is an old Odessa anecdote when a visitor asks at the Cathedral about an inoperative fountain:“ Was there a fountain here? ”

To which the inhabitant of Odessa answers him: “Why beat?

He beat, is and will be, ”he said.

The Minister of Defense stressed that the status of the Crimean Peninsula will not change.

“So it is with the Crimea.

Ukrainian leaders come and go.

And Crimea has always been, is and will be Russian, ”explained Shoigu.
