The exercise will be held in Tajikistan close to Afghanistan.

Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries will send troops to participate.

  According to sources, the participating officers and soldiers of the Central Russian Military Region are mainly from Russia's 201st military base in Tajikistan, with more than 2,700 officers and soldiers and more than 500 pieces of equipment.

  In response to the situation in Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries of the Collective Security Organization have held several military exercises in August to respond to changes in the situation in Afghanistan.

  As the domestic situation in Afghanistan changes, the Ji'an organization countries have strengthened their control over the border areas between Afghanistan and neighboring countries.

According to the TASS news agency, Russian President Putin stated that the Collective Security Organization countries should be prepared to repel external threats.

Russian Defense Minister Shoigu also said that if the members of the Ji'an Organization are threatened, Russia will provide them with military assistance.
