Peru is one of the most severely affected countries in the world. Since its first confirmed case was reported in March 2020, it has confirmed more than 2.1 million cases and nearly 200,000 deaths.
Peru started a nationwide vaccination campaign on February 8 this year. According to the Peruvian Andean News Agency, since February this year, of the 25,694 hospitalized patients, 93.57% have not been vaccinated and 3.71% received only one dose. 2.71% received two doses.
