The Mexican government has decided to recall some of the ramen sold in the market, including Korean products, due to violations of ingredient labeling.

Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) announced on the 4th that as a result of a quality survey on 33 instant noodle products, a total of 129,937 products from 12 products from 9 manufacturers will be recalled from the market.

Among the 12 products, Korean products such as Cheese Red Chicken Fried Noodles, Ottogi Ramen Chicken Flavor, and Shin Ramyun Cup Ramen were also included.

PROFECO noted that in the case of Cheese Red Chicken Fried Noodles, 'Spicy Cheese Flavored Chicken Ramen' in Spanish only contains 'Processed Chicken Flavor Powder' and 'Processed Chicken Flavor' in the actual ingredients.

In the case of Ottogi Ramen, a product for overseas use, the chicken flavor had carrots in the packaging image but not in reality, and the nutritional information of Shin Ramyun Cup Ramen was not properly labeled.

ProfECO Commissioner Ricardo Sheffield explained the relevant information at the presidential press conference the morning of the previous day, citing the cheese red chicken noodles as an example, saying, "There is no trace of chicken. I did.

In addition, some Japanese ramen and instant noodles from Knorr and Kraft were included in the recall list.
