More than 100 foreign citizens with coordination numbers are registered at the apartment south of Stockholm.

According to information to SVT Nyheter, the woman who lives there for several years has offered her address to people for a fee.

Those who are registered at the address get through her access to mail from authorities and the like.

The woman is not the only one offering an address.

We have identified several apartments where around 100 people are registered.

- We know the problem.

We see this type of address that is used systematically in some form, says Tobias Wijk who is a business developer at the Swedish Tax Agency.

Must pay tax

It is not illegal to offer people to have their postal address in an apartment even though they do not live there.

But if someone charges for it, the person should pay tax, according to Tobias Wijk.

- If it is a business, they should be taxed for it, if you have done it systematically, it can be various forms of financial crime.

Around 80 convicted of crimes

For those who come to Sweden, an address is a necessity to be able to receive mail from authorities.

We can also see that people who commit crimes use the identified apartments.

In our review, we have found around 80 convicted persons who have entered the address south of Stockholm in their contact with authorities, including a convicted mass murderer.

- It is when the addresses are used for a fraudulent or criminal purpose that it is a problem, says Tobias Wijk.
