A violent gang of minors of Maghreb origin has been wreaking havoc on the bottles and meetings of young people in recent days in Madrid. They are armed with knives and even machetes to work on mobiles and wallets in alcohol-infused youth concentrations. They are defiant, provocative, and haughty. They are arrested and they re-offend knowing that their minor misdeeds will not lead to any criminal punishment. Their arrogance has even led them to make fun of the officers in some cases: "

Ha, ha, I'm home this afternoon

," they have even said to the officers' faces.

They have been identified on several occasions, seven were arrested at the Villaviciosa parties and this weekend they have returned to perform in a macro-bottle in the Parque del Oeste.

If the victims resist, they attack with cruelty and have already left a trail of blood with six stabbed in these concentrations.

Even the vice mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, yesterday put a warning to the young people who come to these meetings to drink alcohol because of this band of the bottle.

"We detect that there are organized gangs that steal mobile phones, that cause fights ... Young people have to know this, that if the coronavirus is not sufficiently dissuasive, let them

know that these organized gang altercations are taking place in these bottles

," said the

number two

of the Madrid City Council.

This band of the bottle is made up of about

20 minors, some who reside in southern districts of the capital of Spain

and in other municipalities such as Leganés or Las Rozas, according to the sources of the investigation.

Agents of the Civil Guard together with the minors who steal from the bottles.

Their objective is to search for the bottle calls in Madrid through social networks and they also attend the festivals of districts and towns on the periphery of the region, especially in the richest municipalities.

They meet on Friday and Saturday nights to start their

hunt

. They drink and listen to music until one and two in the morning. At that time they unfold. They are aware that

many of their victims are highly drunk and more vulnerable.

It is time to commit the pillage. Once they arrive at the place of the bottle they look for their weakest targets. Never in the thick of the bottle. They tend to choose clueless young people who separate from groups or couples looking for more intimacy. Among the group of assailants

there are several girls who usually choose other teenagers to ask for their mobile phone with the excuse that theirs has broken.

Normally, they do not achieve their objective so the other members of the gang usually act at that moment to snatch the phone from the chosen victim.

On other occasions, they tend to use physical violence from the first moment to seize the minor's mobile phone.

"

Several boys have been punched and if necessary threatened with a knife," says

one of the investigators.

On rare occasions they usually injure the victim, although this has happened in Villaviciosa de Odón and also in the Parque del Oeste this past weekend where at least three people have been stabbed.

The group is organized and plans its coups, although its hierarchy and who its leaders are has not yet been defined.

It is suspected that the eldest of the group are the leaders, but at the moment it is something that is in the investigation phase.

Yes it has been verified that

They have a network of receivers who immediately buy the mobile phones they steal from them.

Several young people destroying a Bicimad station on the Paseo de Moret in Madrid after the bottle last Saturday.

On September 18, the Civil Guard located members of this group in Majadahonda when they were following a girl. The agents identified them, but did not detain them, since the victim refused to report them. The guards seized a kitchen knife and an ax from them. On September 25, at the Villaviciosa de Odón festivities (Madrid), the Civil Guard detained seven members of this group, five of them minors. They also recovered eight stolen mobile phones. Once detained, the Civil Guard notified the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of their arrest. However, they

were released without going to the disposition of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office,

which has summoned them to testify in the coming days.

Among those arrested in Villaviciosa were young Spaniards of Maghreb origin, Dominicans and Moroccans.

There was no

ore

(unaccompanied foreign minor), according to investigators.

Some of them had been detained in previous years by the Civil Guard in other parts of the region.

«They are very violent.

If they don't get a mobile phone by hook, they do it by hook

and, if they are surrounded, they cause riots like in Villaviciosa, ”says an agent behind the investigations.

The bottle band also tried to go to the Las Rozas festivities last Saturday morning, but the entire area was found armored by Civil Guard agents supported by the GRS and USECIC agents.

This past weekend they

again camouflaged themselves in the macro-bottle in Parque del Oeste

, an event that ended in serious altercations and numerous damages to urban furniture. That is his preferred territory, according to police sources. «The Parque del Oeste is a place where they usually go to commit their assaults. There they feel in their territory, "they add from the Police.

Inmaculada Sanz, spokeswoman for the municipal government of the Madrid City Council and delegate for Security and Emergencies, also confirmed yesterday that there is a group of young people who "

steal from kids gathered in the bottles

and that robberies are at dawn.

And we are sure that the National Police will give a strong response.

However, he said that these criminals have nothing to do with those who later caused the incidents in Moncloa on Saturday night, which ended with police charges.

Garbage cans and remains in one of the streets near the Plaza del Dos de Mayo where a bottle was produced last Saturday at dawn.

The delegate insisted on involving the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office to assess the actions to be taken. "As an administration we understand that it is not acceptable that minors under 14 years of age suffer alcohol poisoning in many serious cases that endanger their own life. And therefore parents must know what happened and they will do so immediately because Municipal Police will tell them. is going to communicate. We cannot look the other way, "said Sanz, who added that Madrid Municipal Police

will place plainclothes officers to avoid the macro-bottles

that are taking place in recent weekends, in which there have been attacks, vandalism and robberies.

For its part,

the Madrid Juvenile Prosecutor's Office

said yesterday that it has no evidence of the existence of this gang that steals bottles.

He knows that minors are detained in Madrid for robberies, but he does not know if they are organized or if they belong to any group.

At least, they say, no one has informed them of it.
