In many inland municipalities in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, the population is declining, but not in Arvidsjaur.
One explanation is the re-established Norrland Dragon Regiment, K4, which means up to a hundred new jobs and many newly moved families.
New residential areas may be underway
The residential plots in Arvidsjaur are now moving at a fast pace.
- We are looking at two new areas, says Britta Lundgren, planning engineer at Arvidsjaur municipality.
Commercial properties and industrial land in Arvidsjaur are also in high demand.
