Interest in weaving has increased during the pandemic. Maria Ljungren, from Fjärås, received an extra long assignment that was recently rolled out in Gothenburg Cathedral. A Pride rug woven in Horred, one of the few active weaving mills in Sweden. - It was an honor to make a rug like this for the cathedral where so many will get to meet it, says Maria Ljunggren.
This is not the first time that Maria has woven a Pride rug during her three years as an active weaver.
On behalf of the company Happy Pride, she has also made rainbow-colored rugs for the Malmö Pride Festival, but it was "only" 10 meters.
Kungsbacka-Posten was the first to tell that Maria made the carpet.
