“The Russian side expressed its readiness to further promote the internal Mali settlement, as soon as possible normalization of the situation in Mali in accordance with the norms of international law and the provisions of the UN Charter,” the statement on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry said following the meeting of diplomats.
During the meeting, the diplomats discussed issues of the bilateral Russian-Malian agenda "with an emphasis on the prospects for expanding trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other ties."
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian authorities have nothing to do with Mali's cooperation with private companies.
