A new fight between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua is possible next February or March, the promoter of the new heavyweight world champion confirmed on Tuesday.

Beaten by points and unanimously in London by Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday, the now ex-WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua immediately said he wanted "110%" revenge.

Joshua has a clause for a second fight against Usyk in order to try to recover his belts, as he had done in December 2019, after the first loss of his professional career, against Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter of this fight which was held in front of 60,000 spectators at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, suggested that a possible revenge would take place in Great Britain, next February or March.

"The approximate date announced by Eddie Hearn at the post-match press conference, February-March, is indeed correct," Usyk promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk confirmed at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.

"A rematch should take place during this time window," he added.

Usyk, who has just spent three months of preparation away from his family and who has won most of his victories outside his country, said he "would love a rematch at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev".
