“Over 2.1 billion rubles will be additionally allocated to Roshydromet to finance the completion of the construction of the Arctic platform“ North Pole ”.

The money will arrive in 2021–2022.

Such an order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, ”the statement reads.

It is noted that "federal funding will help complete the construction of the platform in 2022 and conduct mooring and factory sea trials."

Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council on the issues of ensuring Russia's national interests in the Arctic.
